Loren Woodrow Willis

Loren Woodrow Willis, age 78 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Friday evening, March 27, 2020, at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born on July 10, 1941, in Hardy Co., WV, he was a son of the late Vernon Willis and Rosetta Crites Willis. Loren was a true outdoorsman. He cut timber most of his life, he enjoyed springtime so he could look for ramps, enjoyed the summer months so he could fish, and the fall and winter he would sharpen his lost skill of trapping. His wife, Geraldine Virginia Bosley Willis preceded him in death in March 2003. Three brothers also preceded him in death.

Surviving is a son, Rodney (Arlene) Willis of Cabins, WV; a daughter, Lisa Willis of Franklin, WV; a brother, Don Willis of Moorefield, WV; four sisters, Anna Lee Crites of Petersburg, WV, Shirley Willis of Moorefield, WV, Sharon Paugh of Baker, WV and Norma Bogan of Moorefield, WV; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Due to the recent COVID-19 Pandemic, we will be honoring the recommendation and will only allow the immediate family to participate in services. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this time. With these recommendations, graveside services will be held at the Jenkins Hollow Cemetery.
