Lonnie Melvin Riggleman, age 66 of “Rig, WV”, passed away Monday afternoon, December 2, 2024, at his residence. Born November 19, 1958, in Petersburg, WV, he was the son of the late Albert Asbury Riggleman and Grace Virginia Ratliff Riggleman. He was also preceded in death by a brother “Butch” Riggleman and a sister Indole Kesner.
Lonnie was a true outdoorsman who cherished the simple joys of life, whether spending his days fishing or deer hunting. He also had an affinity for the sound of bear dogs and the camaraderie of bear hunting. He had a passion for Westerns, often seen engrossed in Louis L’Amour novels or enjoying a good movie. When he relaxed, the sound of his favorite radio tunes filled the air, creating a cozy atmosphere of nostalgia and comfort.
Surviving is a son, L. Logan (Missy) Riggleman and their daughters, Irie and Marina of Moorefield, WV; a sister, Faye (Elwood) Kesner of “Rig, WV”; brothers, Monte (Jeanie) Riggleman and Alden (“Woody”) Riggleman of “Rig, WV” and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted 6:00 PM Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Steve Snyder officiant. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until time of the service.
