Lindsey Luther Poling

Lindsey L Poling, age 89 of the Trough Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Tuesday evening, October 4, 2005 at the Hampshire Center in Romney, WV. Born August 16, 1916 in Hardy Co., WV, he was the son of the late Mitchell F. poling, Jr. & Mary E. (Simmons) Poling. His wife, Edna (Kessel) Poling preceded him in death in August 1985. Four sisters and 3 brothers also preceded him in death. A Hardy County farmer for 53 years, he was a member of the WV Farm Bureau and the Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a US Army veteran of WWII Surviving are two sons; Danny Poling and Larry Poling of Moorefield, WV; three brothers, Felix Poling, Don Poling and Ray Poling of Moorefield, WV; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, October 7, 2005, at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastor Ed Craft & the Rev. Ted Osgood officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the US Army & the Moorefield Veteran?s Honor Guard at the Olivet Cemetery.
