Linda Sue Pratt

Linda Sue “Susie” Pratt, age 69 of Howard Sions Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 26, 2021, at her residence. Born on February 7, 1952, in Hardy County, WV, she was a daughter of the late William Woodrow Reel and Lila May Kuykendall Reel. Her husband, Ronald Howard Pratt, Sr. preceded her in death in February 1991. A sister, Mildred “Snook” Miller also preceded her in death.

Susie attended Rig Assembly of God Church prior to COVID-19. She was very active with the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company-46 Auxiliary and loved the work she helped them to do. She had retired from Hester Industries after 20+ years, and was considered a hard worker, outgoing but stern. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially for her family. Her leisure time she spent watching older shows like the “Waltons”, “Little House on the Prairie” or just any old western movie. She loved to talk and would spend time on the phone with friends and family, passing the time.

Surviving is a son, Ronald “Buck” (Christy) Pratt of Rio, WV; a daughter, Iva (Robbie) Reeves of Moorefield, WV; two brothers, William “Bill” (Judy) Reel and Elvy “Peanut” (Carolyn) Reel all of Fisher, WV; grandchildren, Eric Koontz, Shana Koontz, Katie Pratt, Nickie Koontz, Carter Koontz and Tori Pratt; a great-grandson, Bentley Llewlyn and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Private Family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
