LeRoy Emerson Kessel

LeRoy Emerson Kessel, age 88 of Kessel Road, Fisher, WV passed away Sunday evening, July 1, 2018 at his residence. Born on May 15, 1930 in Kessel, WV he was a son of the late Roy Gipson Kessel and Katherine Elizabeth Hutter Kessel. A sister, Joyce Kessel Williams preceded him in death. A Lifelong Farmer, LeRoy was a U.S. Air Force veteran, was an officer for the W.V. State Police, worked for the Osmose Wood Preserving Company, Carl Belt, K & W Equipment and Hester Industries. He enjoyed gardening, planting trees, hunting and especially fishing with his granddaughters and his great-grandchildren. Surviving is his loving wife of 66 years, Edna Maxine Hoover Kessel; a son, Larry S. Kessel and daughter-in-law, Ellen Jane Inskeep Kessel of Fisher, WV; two granddaughters, Lesley Kessel Parisi, D.V.M. and husband Thomas Parisi, D.V.M. of Fisher, WV and Laura Elizabeth Kessel of Fisher, WV; three great-grandchildren, Thomas Emerson Parisi, Emily June Parisi & Matthew Thaddeus Parisi; a brother, Leon H. Kessel of Richmond, VA and a brother-in-law, C. Elwood Williams of Moorefield, WV. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 1769 Kessel Road, Fisher, WV with Pastor Harold George officiating. Interment will follow at the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM Thursday until time of services at 1:00 PM at Oak Grove U.M.C.
