Leonard Francis McDonald

Leonard Francis McDonald, age 58 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Tuesday evening, July 22, 2014 at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, VA. Born October 26, 1955 in Randolph County, WV, he was the son of the late Lester Ford McDonald and Catherine Dell Kate (Keyes) McDonald. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Angel McDonald; a daughter-in-law, Tammy (Grapes) McDonald; a sister, Lucy Taylor; five brothers, Don, Gordon, Frank, Charlie and Russell; a half-brother; a niece and a nephew. Surviving is his wife of 37 years, Terry L. (McCauley) McDonald; a son, Leonard R. McDonald of Moorefield, WV; two daughters, Catherine McDonald of Moorefield, WV and Rosanna & Michael Champ of Petersburg, WV; four grandchildren, Maria, Emily, Hailey & Terry; two brothers, Larry & Janis McDonald of Dundalk, MD and Albert McDonald of Huttonsville, WV; a half-sister, Linda & Willard Herron of Huttonsville, WV; two half-brothers, Jerry & Melissa Taylor of Mill Creek, WV and Mack Taylor. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield, WV. There will be no visitation. Leonard worked as a mechanic at Wolfes Garage, Markwood Dodge and G & S Motors. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing but loved most the time he spent with and spoiling his grandchildren.
