Lena Sherman Zirk

Lena S. Zirk, age 86 of Railroad St., Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday evening, December 11, 2005, at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born February 21, 1919 in Hardy Co., WV she was the daughter of the late Robert & Ruth (McNeer) Sherman. Her husband, Marvin S. Zirk, preceded her in death in August 1964. Three sisters and a brother also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Moorefield Presbyterian Church, a life long resident of Hardy County and was employed by the Hawse family?s grocery business for 49 years. Surviving are two sons, Mick Zirk of Martinsburg, WV and Jason Zirk of Moorefield, WV and five grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, December 15, 2005 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastor Katherine Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 9 PM Wednesday at the Fraley Funeral Home.
