Lavinia Virginia Martin

Lavinia Virginia (Sulser) Martin, ?Ginny?, age 70 of Valley View Apartments, Petersburg, WV, passed away Saturday morning, June 6, 2009 at her residence. Born January 30, 1939 in Hampshire Co., WV, she was the daughter of the late Garlan & Lavinia (Hartman) Sulser. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Petersburg, WV. Two sons, Sheldon Sulser & Michael Sulser; a brother, Wendell W. Sulser, and her former husband, Francis R. Martin, preceded her in death. Surviving is a son, Darrell A. Sulser of Petersburg, WV; four daughters, Donna D. (Dave) Burkholder of Shippensburg, PA, Sherrie Lynn Handy of Moorefield, WV, Sarah V. Vanmeter of Moorefield, WV and Frances R, (Robert) Branham of Monroe, VA; four brothers, Bud (Betty) Sulser of Slanesville, WV, Dwight (Nettie) Shoemaker of Leesburg, VA, Oscar (Joan) Wolford of Capon Bridge, WV and Lewis (Freda) Wolford of Augusta, WV; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, June 8, 2009 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Bishop Stephen Kimble officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Kessel, WV. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 7 ? 9 PM Sunday at the funeral home. The family extends a special ?Thank you? to Dr. Susan Schmitt & Dr. Nicholas Gemma and for the ?Angels? sent by Grant Memorial Hospice.
