Lariety Blaine Heavner

Lariety Blaine Dick Heavner, age 87 of South Fork Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday evening, July 7, 2018 at Hampshire Center in Romney, WV. Born on August 19, 1930 in Moorefield, WV, he was a son of the late Orie Lester Heavner and Lela M. Whetzel Heavner. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 23 years, Jeanette Athey Heavner and his 2nd wife of 30 years, Marguerite Bennett Heavner. Two sons, Richard B. Heavner & Ivern S. Heavner; a daughter, Patricia Ann Bergdoll; three brothers, Lester Ray, Loring & Melvin and a sister, Gladys Maxine See preceded him in death. He was the last member of his immediate family. Dick had retired from Hester Industries, and was a member of the Moorefield Church of God where he served as a member of the finance committee for 30 years. Surviving is a step-grandson, Dwight T. Lewis that he raised; a great-granddaughter Erica Heavner Bean and husband Jacob of Moorefield, WV; a special nephew who cared for Dick, Thurman See, Jr. along with numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Daryl Dunsmore and Johnnie Stump officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
