Kyle Foltz

It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness that we announce the passing of Kyle Benjamin Foltz, age 20 of Gallipolis, OH, formerly of Mathias, WV, who passed away Friday morning, August 9, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, WV. Born on February 24, 2004, in Harrisonburg, VA, he was a son of Joan E. Wratchford Foltz of Mathias, WV and the late Stanley Lee Wayne Foltz.

Kyle's industrious nature and talent as a mechanic were evident to all who crossed his path. Whether he was tinkering with engines or indulging in his favorite pastimes of hunting in West Virginia, fishing on the Ohio River, or enjoying a game of bowling, Kyle's zest for life was truly infectious. Kyle attended East Hardy High School and graduated from the Mountain Challenge Academy on June 17, 2022, and was an active member of the Mt. View Church of the Brethren in Mathias.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his biological parents Benjamin Foltz and Melanie Foltz of Mathias, WV; his sisters, Hannah Foltz, Abigail VanMeter, Starsha Champ & Becky Foltz all of Mathias, WV; brothers, Jeremiah Foltz of Mathias, WV and Jimmy Foltz of Grottoes, VA.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, commencing at 11:00 AM at the Mt. View Church of the Brethren, located at 2647 Lower Cove Road in Mathias, WV. Pastor Landis Dove will guide us through this moment of remembrance and reflection as we honor Kyle's life and cherish the memories we hold dear.
