Katie Flo Shockey

Katie Flo Shockey, age 90 of South Fork Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday morning, May 23, 2010 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born December 19, 1919 in Bass, Hardy Co., WV, she was the daughter of the late Lemuel P. & Anna Mae (Rohrbaugh) Wolfe. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah?s Witness of Moorefield. Katie was a graduate of the Class of 1939 at Moorefield High School. Her husband of 66 years, Floyd Shockey, preceded her in death in March 2006. A grandson, two great-grandsons, two brothers and five sisters also preceded her in death. Surviving are, five sons, Ray Shockey, Kenny Shockey, Paul Shockey, Roger Shockey and Harry Shockey all of Moorefield; four daughters, Charlotte Crites, Becky Shockey and Susie Whetzel all of Moorefield & Eleanor Orndorff of Columbia, MD; a brother, Randolph Wolfe of Moorefield, WV; two sisters, Genevieve Malcolm of Moorefield, WV & Edith Ferrebee of Winchester, VA and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Brother Gary Comstock officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
