John Albert Zimmerman,

John Albert Zimmerman, Sr. age 83 of Frosty Hollow Rd., Fisher, WV passed away Thursday morning, July 19, 2007 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born February 17, 1924 in Jewett, NY, he was the son of the late Charles & Gertrude (Linton) Zimmerman. He was a member of the Frosty Hollow Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US Marine Corps of WWII. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Zimmerman. Surviving is his loving wife, Nellie E. (Wellman) Zimmerman; two sons, John A Zimmerman, Jr. of Arlington, TX & Kenneth A. Zimmerman of Franklinville, NJ; two daughters, Bonnie L. Dover of Timonsville, SC & Miranda Baker of Moorefield, WV; two sisters, Gertrude Smith of Great Falls, MT and Jesse Chard of Leesburg, NJ; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, July 21, 2007 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with John A. Zimmerman, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the US Marine Corps and the Moorefield Veterans Honor Guard at the Newhouse Cemetery, Rig, WV. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service on Saturday.
