John Thomas Bowman,

John Thomas Tom Bowman III, age 61 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday morning, December 27, 2008 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born March 26, 1947 in Moorefield, WV he was the son of Mildred (Bean) Bowman of Moorefield, WV and the late John T. Bowman II. He was a veteran of the US Army and an Honorary member of the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company 46. He was a member of the Denney-Moyers-Pratt Post #9606 V.F.W., a member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion and a member of the Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Lorraine (Fishel) Bowman; a son, Kevin Bowman of Moorefield, WV; a foster daughter, Loretta Hook of Brandywine, WV and two foster grandsons. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Ed Craft officiating. Interment will follow with a Firemans procession, then Military Graveside Rites accorded by the U.S. Army and the Moorefield Veterans Honor Guard at the Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call after 8:00 AM on Tuesday and the family will receive friends from 6 8 PM Tuesday evening at the Fraley Funeral Chapel.
