"Joe" Riggleman

Carl David ?Joe? Riggleman, age 89, South Fork Rd., Bass, WV, passed away Wednesday evening, October 20, 2010 at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, WV. Born April 22, 1921 in Grant Co., WV, he was the son of the late Charles S. & Lula P. (Kite) Riggleman. His wife Louise (Newhouse) Riggleman preceded him in death in May 1996. A sister (Hilda) and two brothers (?June? &?Bud?) also preceded him in death. He was a US Army veteran of WWII a heavy equipment operator for many years building roads around the state, a farmer, a timber man and sawyer. Surviving are two sons; Charles R. ?Dick? Riggleman (Donna) and Ralph ?Jack? Riggleman (Ellen) of Moorefield, WV; a daughter, Joyce Evans (Marlin) of Hot Springs Village, AR; a sister, Sharon Goare of Fairfax, VA; five grandchildren, Brenda Richardson (Alan), Angie Fraley (Jeff), Amanda Riggleman (Jamie), Rob Riggleman (Alicia) and Emily Vetter (Bradley) and ten great-grandchildren, Ali & Brianna Richardson, Zoe & Quincy Fraley, Michelle, Anna, Amber & Joseph Riggleman and Jaxson & Peyton Vetter. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, October 24, 2010 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Katherine Jackson & Pastor Rebecca Bennett officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites Accorded by the US Army and the Moorefield Veterans Honor Guard at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 ? 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the charity of choice in Joe?s memory.
