Joan Weese

Joan Branson Weese, age 70 of Overlook Street, Moorefield, WV passed away Sunday, October 13, 2002 at her residence. Born March 7, 1932 in Lost River, WV she was a daughter of the late Harper L. & Freddie M. (Webster) Branson. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, a member of Women of the Moose and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry A. Weese in April 1991 and she was also preceded in death by one brother. She is survived by sons, Michael A. Weese of Moorefield, WV & Edward Richard III of Columbus, SC; a daughter, Deborah J. Martin of Hedgesville, WV; brothers, George W. Branson of Lost River, WV; William L. Branson of Norfolk, VA and Jonathan O. Branson of Lost River,WV; sisters, Alice W. Hartman of Franklin, WV; Betty J. Wolfe of Moorefield, WV and Elinor M. Dove of Virginia Beach, VA; and four grandchildren. Services were conducted Thursday, October 17, 2002 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastor Judy Vetter officiating. Interment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery at Lost River, WV.
