James Allen Campbell, lovingly known as "Allen", passed away on December 31, 2023, at the age of 65, in Murray, Kentucky. Born on November 19, 1958, in Batesville, Arkansas, Allen was a beloved husband, father, and truck driver who touched the lives of many with his warm heart and adventurous spirit.
Allen grew up in Arkansas and developed a passion for the great outdoors from an early age. He loved spending his time fishing, hunting, and exploring the beauty of nature. As a truck driver for 47 years, and currently was driving for RCS Transport, he traversed the highways and byways, enjoying the freedom of the open road and the sights it had to offer.
Throughout his life, Allen shared his joys and challenges with his beloved wife, Doreen Campbell. They built a strong and enduring bond, facing life's ups and downs together. Allen's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his wife, Doreen, who stood by his side through thick and thin.
Allen was a proud and loving father to Misty Rodriguez of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Larry Herring of Melbourne, Arkansas, Michelle Herring of Elkhart, Indiana, and Zachary Campbell of Moorefield, West Virginia. He cherished his time with his children and imparted his wisdom on them, teaching them the values of hard work, perseverance, and a deep appreciation for nature. Allen's memory will be forever cherished by his children and their families.
In addition to his immediate family, Allen is survived by his sister, Phyllis Vickerys of Sage, Arkansas, Savannah Dockins of Sage, Arkansas, and Rhonda Campbell of Melbourne, Arkansas. He shared countless cherished memories and bonds of love with his extended family members.
Allen was also blessed to be a doting grandfather to Johnny Nolan, Bryan Nolan, and Justin Nolan, all of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Dani Harrison of Elkhart, Indiana, and Makayla Herring of Melbourne, Arkansas. His joyful presence and loving guidance will be deeply missed by his grandchildren and the five great-grandchildren he adored.
As we bid farewell to Allen, we celebrate the life he lived and the impact he had on those around him. His adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors will forever serve as a reminder to embrace life's adventures and create lasting memories with loved ones.
Allen's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he find eternal peace in the great outdoors that he cherished so deeply.
