Iva Rose Singh

Iva Rose Singh, age 75 of Valley Terrace, Moorefield, WV, passed away Friday afternoon, March 20, 2020 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born on August 15, 1944 in Denver, CO, she was a daughter of the late Edgar Leslie Learned and Frances Margaret DeMay Learned. Iva enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading and watching movies. An accomplished musician, she enjoyed playing the piano and guitar. She was working in Manhattan on 9/11 and when she was finally able to return home, she found her apartment full of the dust from the World Trade Center collapse. Shortly after 9/11 she chose to move from New York and found a new home in Moorefield.

Surviving are three children, daughters; Cheryl Martens of Burlington, WV and Jacqueline Ramos-Johnson of Binghamton, NY; a son, Thomas Martens of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Janice Learned of Downey, CA and Kathie Green of Ft. Morgan, CO; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
