Howard Donald Woodworth

Howard Donald Woodworth, age 91 of Needmore Road, Baker, WV, passed away Sunday morning, July 1, 2012 at Royal Haven Assisted Living in Front Royal, VA. He was born September 5, 1920 in Walnut, Kansas a son of the late Ross H. & Chettie (Marshall) Woodworth. He was a teacher and high school principal of Moorefield High School and East Hardy High School for numerous years. He was a US Navy veteran where he served as a deck officer, was a member of the Bean Settlement Ruritan Club and the Moorefield Lions Club. Two brothers, Marshall and Berle preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife, Nellie Elizabeth (Haddan) Woodworth, who was his roommate at Royal Haven; a son, James Howard Woodworth of Stark, Kansas; a daughter, Tami Rosanne Bean of Christiansburg, VA; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. There will be no visitation or public services.
