Homer Luther George, Sr.

Homer Luther George, Sr., age 76 of Rig, WV, passed away Tuesday morning, July 28, 2009 at his residence. Born May 28, 1933 he was the son of the late Oscar W. & Nora L. (Simmons) George. He was a US Army veteran and a member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion. Four brothers preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife; Leona (Hose) George, two sons, Homer L. George, Jr. of Moorefield, WV and Bruce A. George of Fisher, WV; a daughter, Rebecca L. See of Old Fields, WV; a brother, Eston George of Rig, WV; two sisters, Judy Baldwin of Purgitsville, WV and Nellie Warner of Maysville, WV; four grandsons, two step-grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Doyle Patch officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites Accorded by the US Army and the Moorefield Veterans Honor Guard at the Newhouse Cemetery, Rig, WV. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6- 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
