Herman Odell Barr

Herman Odell ?Jim? Barr, age 70 of Chipley Lane, Moorefield, WV, passed away Wednesday morning, March 12, 2008 at the E.A. Hawse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Baker, WV. Born May 8, 1937 in Hardy CO., WV, he was the son of the late Clifton M. & Nina L. (Riggleman) Barr. Jim was a retired technician for General Telephone Electronics (GTE) having retired on December 31, 1989 after 24 years of service. He was a member of the Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church in Moorefield. A brother, Merle Barr preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Carole (Smith) Barr; a brother, Harlan ?Casey? Barr and wife Geneva of Lynchburg, VA; a sister, Bonnie Wilt and husband Price of Moorefield, WV; a sister-in-law, Noreen Barr of Covington, VA and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastors Dan Howard & Matt Lyon officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Charity of Choice.
