Helen Lorraine Sions

Helen Lorraine Sions, age 68 of Earl Sions Road, Old Fields, WV, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 10, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. Born on January 7, 1950 on Pine Ridge, near Wardensville, WV, she was a daughter of the late Roy Tildon Miller and Tenie Mae Walker Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl N. Sions in August 1999, an infant sister, Evelyn L. Miller and a brother, Larry E. Miller; a niece, Christina and a great-niece Shannon. Helen always enjoyed lambing season on the farm and often when you stopped by she would have several in a box in the kitchen that needed her constant attention. She had retired from the U.S Post Office and had been a Postmaster for 14 years. Helen was an EMT/Paramedic for 10+ years with Fraley Ambulance Service, was a past Matron and Member of the Moorefield Chapter #102 Order of Eastern Star. Surviving is a special son, Kevin Wetzel of Old Fields, WV; two sisters, Janet Richardson of Wardensville, WV and Frances Marie Miller of Mathias, WV, three nephews and one nieces. A Service of Remembrance will be held beginning at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Old Fields Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Howard as officiant. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of services at 2:00 PM.
