Helen Rebecca Entsminger

Helen Rebecca Entsminger, age 82 of Dover Hollow Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday evening, July 5, 2020 at her residence with her family at her side. Born on December 10, 1937 in Ft. Run, she was a daughter of the late Albert Ronald “Jake” Hose and Virginia Belle Combs Hose. Helen was retired from the Maryland Health and Mental Hygiene Office after 34 years as a fraud investigator. Her husband, Leonard Calvin Entsminger preceded her in death in July 2007. Two brothers, Lairity and Dale also preceded her in death.

Helen was a bird watcher. She enjoyed feeding all birds and loved her hummingbirds when they were feeding at her home. She enjoyed antique cars and trucks, especially car shows she would attend and NASCAR, attending races at Richmond, VA.

Surviving is two daughters, Deborah (Gary) Thompson of Dunnellon, FL and Shirley (Lee) Poling of Falling Waters, WV; three grandchildren, Heather Andrews, John (Shannon) Riggleman, and Corey Baker; four great-grandchildren, Justice Andrews, Michael Riggleman, Ashley Riggleman and L.J. Riggleman and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Matt Lyon as officiant. Interment will follow in the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, all individuals entering the funeral home will be required to maintain social distancing and wear a face covering at all times.
