Helen "Cricket" Bowman Bean

Helen Bowman Cricket Bean, age 90 of Baker, WV, passed away Thursday morning, June 29, 2006, at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born June 29, 1916 in Hardy County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Harry & Una (Bowman) Vetter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul G. Bean in January 1991. A son, an infant granddaughter, a grandson, two brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters; Louise Mongold of Baker, WV and Phyllis Denney of Moorefield, WV, three sons; Paul Bean, Jr. of Summerduck, VA, Larry A. Bean of Clearbrook, VA and Ronnie Bean of Moorefield, WV; two sisters, Virginia Cleaver and Dorothy Sherman of Moorefield, WV; three brothers, Stanley Vetter & Richard Vetter of Moorefield, WV and Thomas Vetter of Lindside, WV; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, July 2, 2006 at the Asbury United Methodist Church, Bean Settlement, WV, with Pastors Gary Gourley & Nip Crites officiating. Interment will follow at the Asbury Cemetery adjacent to the church. The family will receive friends from 6 8 PM Friday and 2 4 PM Saturday at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield.
