Helen Anderson

Helen Anderson, age 90 of Trough Road, Moorefield, WV, formerly of Shinnston, WV, passed away Sunday evening, February 21, 2021 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born on April 12, 1930 in Shinnston, WV, she was a daughter of the late Fred Kozmire & Stella Stromasky Kozmire. Her husband, Archie Brooks Anderson preceded her in death in August 2012. A daughter Linda Reeves and a son John Brian Anderson also preceded her in death. She was the last member of her immediate family.

Helen was a country store owner in the Francis Mines area and worked with her husband on the family farm in Harrison County, WV. Her spare time, which was limited, as she was always a hard worker, was spent crocheting and in the warmer seasons, fishing in any body of water. She was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church of Moorefield, WV.

Surviving is a son, Brian John Anderson of Moorefield, WV; a daughter Vickie Foeks of Beaver Falls, PA and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the Fraley Funearl Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Father Dan Pasano officiant. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cmetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM (Noon) until 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the wearing of masks, temperature checks and social distancing will be adhered to at the funeral home at all times.
