Hazel Ellen Shoemaker

Hazel Ellen Shoemaker, age 80 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 12, 2006, at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA. Born December 23, 1925 in Hardy Co., WV, she was a daughter of the late Howard & Mae (Weatherholtz) Sions. She was preceded in death by her husband Boyd A. Shoemaker in January 2005. A grandson, two sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughters, Dollye Benson of Upperville, VA, Brenda Reel of Rig, WV and Kathy Roop of Front Royal, VA; two brothers, Jesse Sions of Burlington, WV & Victor Sions of Junction, WV; a sister, Iva Haggerty of Purgitsville, WV; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastor Brad Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 8 PM Tuesday at the Fraley Funeral Home.
