Harry Beanie Reel, age 86 of Moorefield, WV passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at the E A Hawse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Baker, WV. Beanie was born in Moorefield, WV on December 12, 1931 a son of the late Harry Henry Reel and Leaffa Belle (Bean) Reel. On November 27, 1965 he married Alberta Rumain Berg who survives. Beanie graduated from Wardensville High School in 1951; entered the U. S. Army on February 17, 1953, and served in Alaska and was Honorably Discharged with the rank of Corporal on February 16, 1961. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 64. Beanie was a truck driver for M A Bean Oil Company for 17 years and was a member of the American Truck Historical Society. He also worked for Elwood and Joyce Williams as a John Deere salesman for numerous years. Beanie was an avid Blood Donor for the American Red Cross; having donated over 25 gallons. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leon Edmond Reel, his half-brother, Ronald Jack Poland, step-son, Fred Weese, step-grandson, Michael Weese, step-great grandson, Anthony Kite, and his faithful companion, Buddy. In addition to his wife, Alberta, he is survived by his sister, Delores (Reel) Vetter of Moorefield, WV, step-daughter, Sandra Kelly; step-sons, Dwight Weese and Gary Weese; twelve step-grandchildren, twenty-five step-great grandchildren, four nieces, and six nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastors Russell and Lucy Webster officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the U.S. Army. The family will receive friends from 5 PM to 7PM Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the funeral home. At his request he will be cremated after services and interred in the Asbury Cemetery, Baker, WV at a later date.
