Harold Ethan Tucker, D.D.S, age 89 of High Knob Road, Old Fields, WV, passed away Saturday morning, November 18, 2017 at his residence. He was born on August 17, 1928 in Bridgeport, WV a son of the late Martin Jennings Tucker and Vada May McEldowney Tucker. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melody Lea Ritchie; a sister, Patricia Ann Chaney and his first wife, Marilyn L.(Smith) Tucker. Harold was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in dentistry in 1958, and was a retired Clinical Professor of WVU School of Dentistry with over 30 years training aspiring dentists. He enjoyed hiking in the mountains with his wife, hunting and fishing in numerous states and Canada. His home was full of his deer trophies as well as his bear mounts, but he enjoyed hunting all game with friends and his wife. He was an accomplished archer having won numerous individual and team awards at the state and national level. In his little spare time, he did enjoy the combinatorial number placement puzzles, Sudoku. Surviving is his wife, Flor Maria Selfe Tucker; two sons, David Harold Tucker of Terra Alta, WV and Martin D. Tucker of Falling Water, WV; a daughter, Dian Tucker Dubois of Falling Waters, WV; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Harolds wish was to be cremated and his cremains scattered in the places he loved and there will be no formal ceremony.
