Goldie Arbutis Kesner

Goldie Arbutis Kesner, age 92 of Maysville, WV formerly of Chipley Lane, Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday afternoon, June 26, 2006 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born January 16, 1914 in Pendleton Co., WV, she was a daughter of the late Albert M. Whetzel, Sr. & Martha J. (Alt) Whetzel. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Edward Kesner in November 1984. Two sons, a grandson, a great-great-grandson, two sisters and four brothers also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. Surviving is a daughter, Evelyn Franz of Maysville, WV; five sons, Delmer Kesner of Moorefield, WV, Charles Thurman Kesner, Elwood Kesner & Curtis ?Mouse? Kesner of Rig, WV and Gerald Kesner of Maysville, WV; a daughter-in-law, Karen Crossland of Moorefield, WV; four sisters, Ruth Engle of Old Fields, WV, Anna Bennett of Moorefield, WV, Clara Nell Ours of Cabins, WV and Cloda Belle Kisamore of Athur, WV; two brothers, Vernon Whetzel of Petersburg, WV and Albert M. Whetzel, Jr. of Arthur, WV; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, June 29, 2006 at the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren with Pastors Don Knotts & Robert Borror officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Gardens adjacent to the church. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 7 ? 9 PM Wednesday at the Fraley Funeral Home. Mrs. Kesner will be taken to the church 1 hour prior to services on Thursday.
