Gloria Nadene Lyons

Gloria Nadene Lyons, age 81 of Berry Patch Lane, Moorefield, WV, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 13, 2018 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born on March 31, 1937 in Elkview, WV, she was a daughter of the late Joseph F. Taylor and Rada Francis Carnes Taylor. Her husband, James Granville Lyons preceded her in death in October 2012. An infant brother and three sisters also preceded her in death. A member of the Moorefield Church of Christ she was a faithful member her entire life. She had worked at the Foodland in Moorefield for over 15 years as well as many other businesses in the area. Gloria enjoyed gardening and flowers, cooking for the family, and helping her fellow parishioners. Her home and heart were always open and abundant as she fostered many children over the years. Surviving is a son, Danny & Nicole Lyons of Cross Junction, VA; two daughters, Cathy & W. Allen Ruddle of Moorefield, WV and Taylor Marie Lyons of Moorefield, WV; a brother, Edsel Taylor of St. Albans, WV; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel with Jon Leininger and Steve Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the South Branch Memorial Gardens, near Petersburg, WV. The family will receive friends from 5 7 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
