Glenn Elmer Stoney Stonestreet, age 61 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Friday evening, November 18, 2016 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. He was born on May 6, 1955 in Petersburg, WV a son of the late Glenn Junior Stone Street and Carrie Alice (Baker) Stonestreet. A brother and a sister preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Moorefield High School. Stoney drove a truck for many years and along with his father cut pulpwood, firewood and rails for individuals and companies in the area. Stoney retired from the Town of Moorefield as the Waste Water Plant Supervisor after 26 years of faithful service but only after working his way up the ladder of success. In 1985 during the flood, he drove a grader in flood waters to help folks in need of rescue and spent countless hours after the waters receded helping to rebuild many folks that were affected. He enjoyed his family, adored his grandchildren but his passion as an auto enthusiast was fixing up old cars. He is survived by his son, Aaron & Sheri Stonestreet of Moorefield, WV; his grandchildren, Hayden & Kori Stonestreet; a sister, Roseanna Myers of Moorefield, WV and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Jimmy Stump, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow after a last ride in his 1967 C10 Chevy pickup into the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 7 PM Monday at the funeral home.
