Gladys Stella Sherman

Gladys Cain Sherman, age 87 of Washington St., Moorefield, WV, passed away Friday evening, January 4, 2007 at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, WV. Born July 28, 1920 in Hardy Co., WV, she was the daughter of the late Arthur & Bertha (Cook) Cain. Her husband, Charles ?Bun? Sherman preceded her in death in June 1985. A sister and three brothers also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren and had retired from Hester Industries after 39 faithful years. Surviving is a daughter, Wilda Dasher of Moorefield, WV; three grandchildren, Mark Dasher and wife Lee of Oviedo, FL, Alan Dasher of Belleville, IL & Jody Shewbridge and husband Anthol of Harpers Ferry, WV; three great grandchildren, Amanda Dasher, Tyler Shewbridge & Hunter Shewbridge; a brother, Harold Cain of Martinsburg, WV; and four sisters; Mildred Shockey, Leona Fitzwater & Trixie Baldwin of Moorefield, WV and Thelma Lang of Winchester, VA. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, January 7, 2008 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastor Matt Lyon officiating. Interment will follow at the Olive Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 ? 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the charity of choice.
