Gladys Arbutus Parish

Gladys Arbutus Ours Belt Parish, age 95 of Lee Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday morning, June 11, 2018 at the E.A. Hawse Rehabilitation & Care Center in Baker, WV. Born on March 19, 1923 in Hardy County, WV, she was a daughter of the late William Amby Ours and Julia Virginia Jenkins Ours. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, George Woodrow Belt in June 1945 and her 2nd husband Arthur Jay Parish. Three sisters and three brothers also preceded her in death. Surviving is a son, George J. Belt of Leesburg, FL; a sister, Sally Whetzel of Homestead, FL; a half-brother, James Ours of Cleveland, OH; three grandchildren, Diana Belt, Calvin Belt and Dorothy Borlie; four great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM 6:00 PM Saturday, June16, 2018 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street. After visitation in accordance with Gladyss wishes she will be cremated and interred in the Olivet Cemetery at a later date.
