George Peyton “Brownie” Bell, age 80 of Roby Road, Maysville, WV, passed away Thursday evening, April 30, 2020 at his residence. Born on July 19, 1939 in Baltimore, MD he was a son of the late George Washington Bell and Jane Anita Green Brown Bell Eyler. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, a brother, two step-sisters, a step-brother and a brother-in-law.
Brownie was a U.S. Army Veteran; and a member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion. He enjoyed golf, woodworking, gardening and then canning the bounty of his labor.
Surviving is his wife, Helen Elizabeth Delawder Bell; two sons, William Paton (Jackie) Bell of Alexandria, VA and Robert Lesley (Tina) Bell of Lorton, VA; a daughter, Sharon (Juan) Fernandez of Coral Springs, FL; three step-daughters, Dana (Kenney) Timbrook of Moorefield, WV, Diane (Charlie) Cummings of Titusville, FL and Lisa Ramjattan of Sunrise, FL; two brothers, Roger Wayne Bell of Union Bridge, MD and Gerald Richard (Debbie) Bell of Tuscon, AZ; two sisters, Jane Marie (Merhl) Lamm of Frederick, MD and Joan Anita Blumenauer of Stevensville, MD; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and lots of friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held beginning at 1:00 PM, July 18, 2020, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel. Military Honors will be accorded by the U.S. Army. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of services.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, all individuals entering the funeral home will be required to maintain social distancing and wear a face covering at all times.
