George Leonard Hyre

George Leonard Hyre, age 62 of Fisher, WV, passed away Wednesday morning, July 4, 2012 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born July 14, 1949 in Petersburg, WV, he was the son of the late Virgil Evers & Ruth Lee (Riggleman) Hyre. An associate for Walmart in the Sporting Goods section, he previously worked for Sherman?s machine shop for 20+ years. He was a member of the Potomac Valley Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Judy (Ketterman) Hyre; a son, Jeffrey Hyre (wife Mande) of Fayetteville, NC; a daughter, Christy Weese (husband Michael) of Old Fields, WV; three sisters, Wanda Nesselrodt (husband Roger) of Maysville, WV, Faye Staley (husband Dave) of Moorefield, WV and Rose Waldron (husband George) of Cabins, WV and five grandchildren, Tiffany Weese, Gunner Hyre, Blaze Hyre, Chance Hyre & Brooke Hyre. Funeral Services will be conducted 10:00 AM Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Ted Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Gardens, Rt. 55 East of Moorefield, WV. The family will receive friends from 5 ? 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
