George William Richard Carrico, age 87 of Franklinton, NC, formerly of Moorefield, WV passed away Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Franklin Oaks Nursing Home in Louisburg, NC. Born July 23, 1927 in Canton Township, PA he was the son of the late Samuel James Carrico and Annie Katharine (Emmanuel) Carrico. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Hester (McDaniel) Carrico in November 2003 ; and a son Timothy Lloyd Carrico; three brothers, Samuel Carrico, Robert Carrico and Walter Carrico and a sister, Molly Calcagni. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion. Surviving is a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Liz Carter and husband Jimmy of Franklinton, NC, formerly of Moorefield, WV; a son, Lloyd Richard (Dick) Carrico of Kettering, OH; two sisters, Eva Stankin of Orange, CA and Florence Baker of Deltona, FL; a brother, Matthew Carrico of TN; a daughter-in-law Tammy Kauffman Carrico Reyes of Marriottsville, MD; two sister-in-laws, Violet Geise of Drums, PA and Meadie Stetz of Jerome, PA; grandchildren, Bonnie(& Rick) Tucker, Betty (& Donnie) Sines, Tera Carrico, Heather Carrico, Brock Carrico; great-grandchildren, Riley Sines, Christina Summers, Holly Shadle, Trisha Tucker, Janet Turley and great-great grandchildren, James Summers, Vera Shadle, Katlyn Sines, Jeremiah Tucker, Zachary Summers, Hunter Sines, John Shadle, Lily Turley. Funeral Services will be conducted 7:00 PM Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St. Interment will be at a later date at the Maple Springs Cemetery, Jerome, PA. The family will receive friends from 4 7 PM prior to services.
