Gale Wichael

Gale Lynn Wichael, age 66 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Thursday evening August 1, 2024, at Hampshire Memorial Hospital in Romney, WV. Born on January 28, 1958, in Cumberland, MD, she was a daughter of the late Carl William Dorsey and Mary Frances Stickley Dorsey. A brother, Carl F. “Jack” Dorsey preceded her in death.

 Gale enjoyed spending her time outside caring for her flowers and lawn, and she always relished friendly conversations and working on crossword puzzles. She held dear the moments she shared with her grandchildren. Her love of children allowed her to volunteer her time at Moorefield Elementary for many years. The highlight of her life was when she traveled to Hollywood to appear on the Powerball game Show, it was the farthest she had ever traveled.

 Surviving is her husband, James Aubery Wichael; a son, Jarod W. Wichael of Moorefield, WV; a daughter, Tara J. (Nathan) Keen of Petersburg, WV; four grandchildren, Jaxon Wichael, Trevan Keen, Preslee Keen and Granger Jenkins-Wichael; four sisters, Beverly A. Horn, Phyllis L. Malone, Donna E. Steward and Dottie L. Nealis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Funeral Services will be conducted 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Linda Reece officiant. Interment will following Walnut Grove gardens, Route 55 near Moorefield. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 PM Monday at the funeral home.
