Florence Adeline Grimes

Florence Adeline Montgomery Grimes, age 96 of Moorefield, WV passed away Saturday morning, January 2, 2021at the E.A. Hawse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Baker, WV. Bon on May 10, 1924 in Deer Park, MD, she was a daughter of the late Laura May Browning Montgomery and Charles Marshel Montgomery. Her husband, whom she married in April 1952, Clyde Joseph Grimes preceded her in death in September 2013. An infant daughter, a grandson, two sisters and two nephews also preceded her in death.

Flo, as she was known by many, was a loving and caring person. She helped her husband in the day-to-day operation of their store, Grimes Clothing for many years. She was an Episcopalian by faith and was very active in her church.

Surviving is a daughter, Greta A. Crites of Fisher, WV; a son, Larry G. Grimes of Mobile, AL; a grandson, Ashley Allen (Amy) Crites; a granddaughter, Laura Charlton of Fairhope, AL; two great-grandsons and a great-granddaughter.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation or services. A private service will be held at a later date.

Memorial may be directed to the Charity of Choice.
