Evelyn Coker Bailey

Evelyn Coker Bailey, age 84 of Lee Street Apartments, Moorefield, WV passed away June 17, 2002 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born April 21, 1918 in Laurel, MS. She was a daughter of the late Walter Mikell Coker & Hazel Lee (Magee) Coker. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Benjamin Louis Bailey, 1 son Albert Mikell Bailey, and 1 sister. She was a member of the Duffy Memorial United Methodist Church. Surviving: 3 Daughters, Elizabeth Bailey Thomas of Winchester, VA; Ann Coker-Bailey Rhodes of Gulf Breeze, FL & Evelyn Frances Bailey Murphy of Santee, SC; 1 Daughter-in- law, Joy Pratt Bailey of Moorefield, WV; 7 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren. A Graveside Memorial Service will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 29, 2002 at the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield with the Rev. Bruce Macbeth & Pastor Matt Lyon officiating. At Mrs. Bailey?s request she was cremated.
