Esther Ruth Hambleton

Esther Ruth Hambleton, age 81 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday afternoon, December 12, 2005 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born May 17, 1924 in Hardy Co., WV she was a daughter of the late Edgar B. & Blossie (Wolfe) Southerly. Her husband, Walden Hambleton preceded her in death in August 1979. Three sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren. Ruth had been a resident of the Grant County Nursing Home for 2 years. Surviving is a daughter, Joyce Cosner of Moorefield, WV; a brother, Wayne Southerly of Moorefield; four sisters, Nancy Hambleton of Moorefield, Virginia Stump, Betty Southerly and Roberta Porter all of Petersburg, WV; two grandsons, Larry O?Dale Cosner and wife Dana and James L. Cosner & a great-granddaughter, Morgan Cosner. Funeral Services will be conducted 2 PM Friday at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastor Harold Garber officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 9 PM Thursday at the Fraley Funeral Home.
