Esta Mae Charlton

Esta Mae Charlton, age 86 of Maple Avenue, Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday evening, January 22, 2007, at her residence. She was born January 1, 1921 in St. Marys, WV she was the daughter of the late Leander Shields and Mamie (Hall) Shields Sandy. Esta Mae was retired from the Hardy County schools after 21 years as a cafeteria employee. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ralph Cub Charlton in May 2006 and her first husband Adrian See in 1944 in WWII. Surviving is a son, Ralph L. Charlton and wife Lisa of Alexandria, VA; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Norton and husband Mike of Greenwood, DE; a brother, Charles Shields and wife Deanne of Parkersburg, WV; five grandchildren, Kimberly Kostiw, Amy Brown, Michele Jamison, Tiffany Carey & Ray Norton and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastor Harold Garber officiating. Interment will follow in the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
