Elsie Lynn McDonald

Elsie Lynn McDonald, age 58 of Williams Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday evening, April 24, 2021 at Stonerise in Keyser, WV. Born on August 20, 1962 in Petersburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Theodore “Bill” Mongold and Ruth Frances Bobo Mongold. She was a 1982 graduate of Moorefield High School. Elsie was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, knitting and cooking for the family. Her family and them spending time with her were two of her biggest loves in life.

Surviving is her husband of 38 years, Jerry Neal McDonald; a son, Calvin (Gena) McDonald of Moorefield, WV; a daughter Rebecca (Mike White) McDonald of Moorefield, WV; two sisters, Carol Mongold of Moorefield, WV and Fran Smith of Cedar Bluff, AL; three brothers, Allen Mongold, Carl Mongold and Wesley Mongold all of Moorefield, WV; four grandsons, Maverick, Nathan, Chandler & Matthew and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Dan Howard officiant. Interment will follow in the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM on Wednesday.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, wearing of masks, temperature checks and social distancing will be observed at the funeral home at all times.
