Elmer Dwight Smith

Elmer Dwight Smith, age 71 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday evening, February 7, 2005, at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born October 29, 1933 in Tombs Hollow, Old Fields, WV, he was a son of the late Olin G. & Ruth A. (Sulser) Smith. He was a member of the Moorefield Lodge #29 A.F. & A.M., a member of the Potomac Highlands Shrine and a member of the Osirus Shrine Temple. Surviving are four sons, Michael Smith of Lady Smith, VA, Steven Smith of Sacramento, CA, Roy Smith of Orange, VA and Kevin Smith of John Day, OR; two daughters, Raney Shearer of Lady Smith, VA and Sue Smith of Orange, VA; two sisters, Faye Reeder of Jeffersonville, IN and Violet Stackler of Middleburg, VA; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, February 10, 2005 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield. Interment will follow with Masonic Graveside Rites accorded by the Moorefield Lodge #29 A.F. & A.M. at the Bethel Cemetery, Old Fields, WV. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 9 PM Wednesday at the Fraley Funeral Home.
