Ellen Ludella Bean, age 93 of Washington St., Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday morning, December 1, 2008 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born January 20, 1915 in the South Fork area of Hardy Co., WV she was the daughter of the late Anna Mae Harper. Her husband, Ouvard L. Bean preceded her in death in April 1970. Mrs. Bean lived in Bean Settlement for many years with her husband and was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. While living in Moorefield, she began working at the Coffee Shop then she worked for Williams Service Station, J & M Service and B & P Market for over 30 years. Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Bernard F. & Jean T. Bean of Staunton, VA; a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen L. & Sam Harper of Moorefield, WV, with whom she made her home with the past four years; three grandsons, Greg & Wes Bean of Staunton, VA and Jeff Bean of Waynesboro, VA; two granddaughters, Lynn H. Judy & Lori H. Merrill of Moorefield, WV; eight great-grandchildren, Logan, Ben, Josh, Aaron & Justine Bean of VA and Adam & Ryan Judy and Rebecca Merrill of Moorefield. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the Fraley Funeral Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Judy Vetter officiating. Interment will follow at the Asbury Cemetery, Bean Settlement, WV. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 8 PM Tuesday.
