Ellen Rebecca Barr

Ellen Rebecca Barr, age 92 of Rig, WV passed away Saturday morning, May 22, 2004 at her residence. Born November 6, 1911 in Kessel, WV she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Anna R. (Kessel) Sherman. Two sisters preceded her in death, Dorothy Goldizen and Kathryn Porter and six brothers also preceded her in death, Holmes, Roosevelt, Ocie, Marvin, William (Jess) and Lemual. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Barr was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Rig Christian Church. Surviving is her husband of 70 years, Robert Burns Barr; two daughters, Levaughn Hardy of Rig, WV and Joan B. Smith of Petersburg, WV; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with the Rev. Lynn Rohrbaugh officiating. Interment will follow at the Newhouse Cemetery at Rig, WV. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Monday at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield.
