Effie Lucille Thomas, age 82 of Central Avenue, Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday evening, November 9, 2015 at the Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg, WV. Born August 29, 1933 in Petersburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Henry Clay Harman and Effie (May) Harman. She was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, had retired from Hester Industries after 33 dedicated years, and enjoyed reading and watching television. Her husband, Ralph William Thomas preceded her in death in November 1993. Two brothers, William Harman and Homer Harman also preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Terry Douglas Thomas & wife Cindy of Martinsburg, WV and Michael Clay Thomas & wife Connie of Moorefield, WV; four grandchildren, Brian Douglas Thomas & wife Marianne, Brittany Dawn Schob & husband Jason, Michael Renee Thomas Lane & husband Preston and Kaleah Lynise Thomas; two great-grandchildren, Jackson & Reed; and four sisters, Ernestine Harman of Petersburg, WV, Nora Turner of Robbinsville, NC Rosalee Yutzy of Petersburg, WV and Mary Catherine Barr of Moorefield, WV. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at the Newhouse Cemetery, Rig Road, Moorefield, WV.
