Edith Mae Ferrebee

Edith Mae Wolfe Ferrebee, age 88 of Railroad Street, Moorefield, WV and formerly of Winchester, VA, passed away Friday morning, January 15, 2016 at the E. A. Hawse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Baker, WV. Born February 3, 1927 on Wolfe Mountain at Bass, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lemuel Price Wolfe and Anna Mae (Rohrbaugh) Wolfe. She was preceded in death by her 2nd husband Junior A. Ferrebee in September 2010. Seven sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death. A 1944 graduate of Moorefield High School, she worked for many years for Hawse Grocery Store, Rockingham Poultry and the Foodlion in Winchester in the Deli before retiring to Moorefield. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Surviving is a daughter, Wilma (Melvin) Mallow of Moorefield, WV, two granddaughters, Marlo Curran of Moorefield, WV and Melissa (Rick) Fishback of Winchester, VA; four great-grandchildren, Maegan Curran of Moorefield, WV and Jimmy, Elizabeth and Mollie Fishback of Winchester, VA; a brother, Randolph Wolfe of Moorefield, WV and two sister-in-laws, Phyllis Wolfe and Mone Wolfe of Moorefield, WV. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Brad Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 (Noon) until time of services on Sunday.
