Edgar Wayne Funkhouser

Edgar Wayne Funkhouser, age 74 of Winter Garden, FL formerly of Hardy Co., WV and Capon Bridge, WV, passed away Sunday evening, December 7, 2008 at his residence. Born January 22, 1934 in Rock Oak, WV he was the son of the late Raymond & Elva (Pennington) Funkhouser. A brother, Charles Funkhouser preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the US Army and the US Air Force. Surviving is his wife of 49 years, Bernadine "Bea" (Bosley) Funkhouser; two sons, Mitchell Funkhouser of Salem, OH and Michael Funkhouser of Winter Garden, FL; a daughter, Vanda Lea Harvey of Winter Garden, FL; four sisters, Erma Coffman of Winchester, VA, Eileen Dove of Petersburg, WV, Janet Kelley of Herndon, VA and Carol Shockey of Moorefield, WV and four grandchildren, Claire Funkhouser, Quinten Harvey, Joshua Harvey & Dean Harvey. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 13, 2008, at the Fraley Funeral Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Mitchell & Michael Funkhouser officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the US Air Force and the Moorefield Veteran?s Honor Guard at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 9 PM Friday.
