Dr. Jesse William Fisher, Jr.

Dr. Jesse William Fisher, Jr., age 82 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Wednesday evening, October 20, 2004 at his residence. Born May 1, 1922 in Hardy Co., WV he was a son of the late Jesse W. & Laurene (Cunningham) Fisher. He was a member of the Moorefield Presbyterian Church; a 50 year member and Past Master of the Moorefield Lodge #29 A.F. & A.M., a member of the American Dental Association, the WV Dental Association and the Valley View Golf Association. He was a US Army veteran of WWII where he received awards like the Combat Infantry Badge, a European Theatre ribbon, a Good Conduct Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Theatre ribbon. Surviving is his wife, Susan (Welton) Fisher; two sons, Dr. William P. & Donna Fisher of Moorefield and Dr. Joseph A. & Marcia Fisher of Moorefield, WV and five grandchildren, Beth, Jessie, Kate, Will and Adam. A Memorial Service was held at Saturday, October 23, 2004 at the Moorefield Presbyterian Church with Pastors Katherine Jackson and Harold Garber officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. At Dr. Fisher?s request, he has been cremated. Memorials may be directed to the Hardy County Library, 102 N. Main St., Moorefeield, WV 26836, the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company, 114 Kuykendall Lane, Moorefield, WV 26836 or the charity of choice.
