Douglas MacArthur Malcolm

Douglas MacArthur Malcolm, age 72 of Holly Avenue, Moorefield, WV passed away Monday morning, December 31, 2018 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born on October 11, 1946 in Ft. Run near Moorefield, WV, he was a son of the late William Felix Malcolm and Blanche Catherine Whetzel Malcolm Delawder. A son, Brian D. Malcolm and a sister also preceded him in death.

Doug was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War serving in Germany. He was a member of the Denney-Moyers-Prat Post #64 V.F.W. and the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion. He was a member of the North American Hunting Club and he enjoyed hunting with his wife as well as fishing or just being outdoors. In his later years he was a courier for the Cumberland Times News for 15 years and an agent for H. & R. Block as a tax preparer.

Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Audrey Wolfe Malcolm; a daughter, Cassandra Malcolm of Moorefield, WV; a brother, Joe & Esther Malcolm of Moorefield, WV; a sister, Patricia & Wardney Henry of Moorefield, WV; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

At Doug’s request, he has been cremated and his cremains will be placed in numerous locations.
