Dorsey Gaynor Helmick, Jr.

Dorsey Gaynor Helmick, Jr., age 65 of Holly Ave., Moorefield, WV passed away Friday evening, April 12, 2013 at his residence. Born June 30, 1947 in Hardy Co., WV, he was the son of Orpha Mae (Ganoe) Helmick of Moorefield, WV and the late Dorsey G. Helmick. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the Denney-Moyers-Pratt Post #9606 V.F.W. His wife, Linda (Loughry) Helmick preceded him in death in May 1980. A brother, Keith, also preceded him in death. Surviving is a daughter, Donna Helmick of Inwood, WV; a son, Mark Helmick of Cabins, WV; five brothers, Gary A. Helmick, Brian D. Helmick, Kevin M. Helmick & Greg L. Helmick all of Moorefield, WV and Leonard E. Helmick of Bridgewater, VA; two sisters, Linda K. Miller & and Trina E. Branson of Moorefield, WV and four grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Russell Webster officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites at the South Branch Memorial Gardens, Petersburg, WV. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
